Students are divided into age appropriate groups

 

2 Week Sessions: Monday thru Friday

   Session One: July 7—18

   Session Two:  July 21—August 1

   Session Three:  August 4—August 15

 

Each session ends with a presentation for friends and family:

   At 5:30 pm on last day of each session

   In the Met’s Black Box Theatre

 

Any student who completes an ACTSA session is eligible to join the award-winning Ensemble in the Fall.

    Session 1: July 7—18

   Session 2: July 21—August 1

   9am—3pm

 

   Beginning students learn theatre games, focus on movement and voice for the actor, improvisation, character creations, and performance skills.  This fun experience ends with a final presentation that showcases their newfound abilities. 

 

   Students are eligible to take ACT Two and/or join the award-winning ACTing Ensemble in the Fall. 

 

   NO acting or theatre experience required. 

ACT One:  Beginning ACTing  

ACT Two:  Advanced ACTing  

   Session 2:  July 21—August 1

   Session 3:  August 4—15

   9am—3pm

 

   ACT Two is an advanced acting program where students leap into a challenging summer theatre experience.  Students can choose between a musical cabaret or a classical play.

  

   Singing, dancing, writing, breath control, and vocal training are the focus for students participating in the musical cabaret.  Classical students will focus on language, diction, dance, stage combat, and stage presence. 

 

   ACTors must complete ACT One or have equivalent experience to sign up for ACT Two.

ACT Three: Total Theatre Experience

   Session 3:  August 4—15

   9am—4 pm

 

   A Total Theatre Experience is an intensive, multi-discipline theatre academy.  ACT Three combines advanced acting skills with design and production. 

   Students focus on dance styles and movement for the theatre, voice and diction, musical theatre performance, stage combat, playwriting and classical technique while creating sets and costumes for their final performance. 

 

   Choose from a musical cabaret, classical play, or write an original play. 

 

   ACTors must complete ACT Two or have equivalent acting experience to sign up for              ACT Three.
